About Me

In second grade, I auditioned for the school play and won the role of Meriwether Lewis to my best friend’s Sacagawea. Affronted by the script (plodding, factually inaccurate, racist, and generally lacking in drama and humor), I completely rewrote it.

It was not received well by the teachers.

The kids loved it. They loved it so much that they all came over for a sleepover and we staged a living room performance for my parents, long-suffering brother, and pet hamster with a short attention span.

Thus began a career in communications with strong roots in performance and education. I have since learned how to win over tough-to-persuade audiences while staying true to my values. I still think there’s nothing better than telling a great story with good friends.
